Blessings is my family, my tribe, my people who get the life we live with children who have trauma❤️
Our kiddos have so much in common. My children have built some beautiful friendships.

-Liza Bauman, Foster/Adoptive mom
As an overwhelmed mom, it has been such a blessing to have people who genuinely care, check on you, and understand the unique challenges.
I also love that our kids get to see other families that are creatively put together like ours and build friendships with peers who truly understand their experiences. It’s comforting to know we’re not navigating these waters alone.one. ❤️

-Mandy Bracken, Kinship Grandmother
Blessings is a great resource for foster and adopt families. It’s a source of connection for families and youth who often face challenges that others may not understand. This group has been around for many years and has made a positive impact in the foster and adopt community.

-Julie Densmore, Social Worker, Gladney Center for Adoption
Blessings Through Adoption is a great resource for families. The meetings are informative and focus on areas of importance in adoptive families. Monthly meetings have dinner so you're not rushed in feeding children and getting out the door. Adults with clearances provide childcare and homework help for children so the adults can focus on the speakers. There's a number of family activities planned throughout the year to interact with other families including ice skating, bowling and a great Christmas party..

-Susan Doyle, adoptive mom of three
Blessings Through Adoption has a team of caring and dedicated people who offer compassionate care to children in foster care or who have been adopted and their parents alike. It is a space where everyone is accepted & provides a valuable resource to the community.

As an adopted parent, I value the “Blessings Through Adoption” program that Cynthia Renfroe has coordinated over the years at the church.  I’m especially thankful that she’s taken the time every year to coordinate program and activities for families that have foster children and/or adopted children.   I wish this group was available when our adopted child was in elementary school as her attitude and perception of people in the church and of God might be different today and she wouldn’t see herself as the victim in every situation.

Cynthia has also done a wonderful job coordinating the Show Hope Conference.  The TBRI training developed by Karyn Purvis is amazing.  I have participated in the Show Hope Conference yearly at the church and have acquired a great deal of knowledge that helps us deal with our young adult.  Life is not easy for adopted children, and it’s not an easy task parenting children with trauma and RAD due to birthmother choices.  Cynthia cares and knows the struggles firsthand on raising adopted children.  I’m so thankful and blessed that Cynthia took the time to coordinate the Show Hope Conference.  If it wasn’t for this conference, I would still feel like a parent that failed in raising our child and that there’s no hope for change.

Our adopted daughter needs so much prayer and love as she’s basically gave up a relationship with God and has a negative attitude from the time she gets up in the morning.  Perhaps, a full-time ministry where a leadership team could pray for each other, and the adoptees that are struggling every day would be very beneficial to the church and our community.  Missions shouldn’t just be overseas in other countries, but in our own communities and neighborhoods.  I won’t give up on our daughter; but the struggles are real and hard for everyone in our family.  These issues that adopted children face affect EVERYONE deeply in the family. I will continue to pray and will not give up.  I know God cares and I trust that he will handle her according to his will.
I would love to see the church provide a missionary position for the adoption group, and I would love to help with this ministry as well.

Cynthia has a heart for adoption and is very dedicated to this ministry

Sincerely,
-Susan D., adoptive mom
