Blessings through Adoption Statement of Faith
1. The Word of God
We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, to be the infallible, uniquely inspired Word of God. It is our supreme and final authority, guiding our hearts and our ministry in all matters of life, faith, and the compassionate care of families.
2. The Triune God
We believe in one sovereign God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. To Him be all honor, glory, and praise.
3. Jesus Christ and Our Eternal Adoption
We believe that Jesus Christ, the living Word, became flesh to redeem a broken world. Through His death and bodily resurrection, He provided the only way of salvation. We believe that all who receive Jesus Christ by faith are justified by His grace, reconciled to God, and spiritually adopted as children of God and heirs of eternal life (Galatians 4:4-7).
4. The Value of Every Child
We believe that every child is fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God (Imago Dei). Because every life has inherent dignity, worth, and purpose, we are called to protect, nurture, and advocate for vulnerable children, ensuring they experience safety, unconditional love, and belonging.
5. The Calling of the Family and Community
We believe that God uses the family as a primary vessel for healing, comfort, and restoration. Mirroring Christ's unconditional love, we believe the Christian community is commanded to support, wrap around, and uplift adoptive, foster, and kinship families as they navigate the joys and unique challenges of trauma and healing.
6. Kingdom Mission and Service
In alignment with the Great Commission and the biblical mandate to care for the orphan (James 1:27), we dedicate ourselves to a life of self-denying love. We seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus within Beaver County and beyond, offering Spirit-inspired grace, practical support, and a community where every family truly belongs.

Note for the Board/Session: This statement beautifully aligns with FPC Beaver's commitment to "Biblical truth, Spirit-inspired grace, and Kingdom mission" while giving your adoption ministry a distinct, mission-specific voice. Feel free to adapt the wording to best suit your standard volunteer packets or digital platforms!
